Aliki was born and raised in Alexandria, Egypt. Her parents were
from Greece. After graduating from the Greek High School of Alexandria,
she attended the University of Alexandria for 4 years and received
a Bachelors Degree in English Literature. While in college she also
attended art classes at the studio of Barouch and Sebastan as well
as participating in the annual exhibition of Atelier.
After graduation, Aliki received a scholarship from the Rotary Club
of Georgia in 1952 and attended the University of Georgia at Athens.
In 1953 she received her Masters Degree in English Literature and
a Minor Degree in Art History. She has been residing in the United
States since 1954 and is a U.S. Citizen. She is fluent in the English,
French, Greek and Arabic languages.
Throughout her life she took great interest in painting. Aliki took
extensive courses in Art for three years at St. Mary's College of
Maryland in St. Mary's City. In 1992 she received her B.A. Degree
in Fine Arts, specializing in Studio Art.
Aliki is an internationally known artist and has received numerous
awards in national and international juried shows. She has exhibited
in Paris, France, in Athens, Greece, in Washington, D.C., throughout
various states and in Manhattan's SOHO art district.
